September 11, 2017 Board Meeting Minutes
President, Dave Zeemont called the meeting to order at 4:33p.m.
Present were: President, Dave Zeemont; Treasurer, Robert Crowley; Director at Large, and Dave Wright. Carrie Gaddy, Landscape Design arrived late.
Residents: Jan Thune
Minutes: The Board Minutes of August 14, 2017 were accepted as written. Dave Wright motioned to accept the minutes as written. Bob Crowley seconded the motion.
The Board approved the Secretary's Minutes without objection.
Treasurer's Report:
Treasurer, Robert Crowley reported we collected monies from three out of six delinquent people. He will be sending an email to the resident who said he would be sending a check in right away and will be filing a lien to the other two who have not responded. A hard copy mailing was sent three weeks ago, clearly informing them he will be filing a lien which will cost them $60.00 in additional fees for putting the lien on and taking it off of their property. He presented the Treasurer's Report (see attached).
Dave Wright motioned to accept the Treasurer's report as presented and Dave Zeemont seconded the motion.
The Board approved the Treasurer's Report without objection.
Committee Reports:
-
Design Control: Design Control Chair, William Webber sent a report to Dave Zeemont for the CRNA Board meeting which stated that all current construction projects in the neighborhood are proceeding without any issues.
-
Gates: Gates Chair, Dave Wright stated the boxes are in and the speakers are working perfectly. We have had no repairs for this month. The only problem we seem to be having this month is at the Anthem gate where the electric eye periodically decides to open the gate but seems to correct its self. We have a volunteer/candidate to take over the computer aspect of the gates, which is Mike De Antonio. Mike will be taking over Larry Felhauer's gate responsibilities. Al Shawala is the other volunteer/candidate who will be the gatemeister to take over Dave Wright's current position.
-
Drain and Roads: Robert Crowley reported we had a fair amount of rain on and off this month but not at all time. One of the flumes by Constitution has some undercut going on but nothing serious. He has talked with Kelly Dickson but no decision has been made on how to fix it. Thought perhaps they could get away with dumping some six to eight boulders at the bottom of it to keep the energy level down. The ponds have not needed to be pumped out. Still have a little bit of dirt that comes through at the top of Constitution, which comes out of the BLM land.
-
Landscaping: Landscaping Chair, Carrie Gaddy reported researching and going out to bid to other landscaping contractors. She drove around with Jeff from Extreme Landscaping and he gave references as to residences and businesses he has done in Las Cruces. He is very specific on what his commercial maintenance involves. He has been doing landscaping for 14-15 years. She is still in the process of interviewing and finding the right landscaping company to service Coronado Ridge. She will get back to us by the end of this month on a landscaping company.
New Business:
- Dave Zeemont and the Board received a request from Larry Felhauer to amend the CRNA by-laws to put on the ballot for next years January General meeting to read as follows:
-
The first Saturday of May, in each year shall be set aside for a community garage sale. Sale hours will be 9 AM to 5 PM, during which hours the community gates will be opened. Gates will not be opened prior to 9 AM and all sales will terminate promptly at 5 PM. Any member of the community may choose to participate or not participate. All sale activity will be conducted on the individual homeowner's property. An advertisement, to be paid for from the community's social fund, will be placed in the local newspaper one week prior to the sale. The Board will arrange for a 4'x6 banner advertising the sale to be placed near each entrance to the community during the hours the sale is in progress. Said banner will be paid for from the community's social fund and should be designed so as to be reusable. Homeowners participating in the sale assume all liability for persons attending activities on their property. The Coronado Ridge Neighborhood Association is not liable for any damage to private property within the community as a result of this sale activity.
-
The Board will look into this change of amendment.
-
- Dave Zeemont received a complaint from a resident who indicated that a black pick up truck has been parked in their driveway for three month at 8159 Constitution Road. The same individual reported that a Mercedes is parked along the side of the garage at 8163 Constitution Road. This individual lives full time in Santa Barbara, California. Dave Zeemont will look into both of these issues presented.
The next meeting of the Board will be held on Thursday, October 12 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at 1236 Regency Court. All are welcome; however, always check with the Secretary to make sure the meeting date has not been changed due to schedule conflicts.
Dave Wright motioned the meeting to adjourn, seconded by Robert Crowley.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:04 p.m.
