Present were: President, Dave Zeemont; Treasurer, Robert Crowley; Director at Large, Dave Wright and Landscaping Chair, Carrie Gaddy
Residents: Jan Thune
Minutes: The Board Minutes of June 12, 2017 were not available for review so will be approved at the August board meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer, Robert Crowley reported we have eight lots that are delinquent. He sent out another notice as of July 10th and if he doesn’t get a response in a week or so he will access them the penalty. A question was asked regarding what the emergency fund is used for and Robert Crowley gave examples. He presented the Treasurer’s Report
Dave Wright motioned to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented and Dave Zeemont seconded the motion.
The Board approved the Treasurer’s Report.
Committee Reports:
-
Landscaping: Landscaping Chair, Carrie Gaddy didn’t have much to report except how dissatisfied she was with our current landscaping contractor but after contacting them they did come out and are doing a better job. We may go out for quotes from other landscaping contractors in the future. Discussion took place on whether or not to get the fountain at the Anthem gate fixed.
-
Drainage and Roads: Robert Crowley had nothing to report.
-
Design Control: Design Control Chair, William Webber was not present so no report was given.
-
Gates: Gates Chair, Dave Wright ordered ten remotes. Stated we had a problem with the Anthem gate, similar to Barcelona where the electric eye was not working properly. The speaker system doesn’t work at the Anthem gate, which is one of the reasons why we are replacing the display cabinets. The replacement of the two display cabinets is still moving forward but very, very slowly. They’ve had problems with the heat and scheduling time with Larry Felhauer who has been on vacation. Met with Mr. Braxton Smith from Smith and Aguirre Construction to get an estimate for resurfacing Phase I and Phase II next year. Last year, we spent $32,576.00 for resurfacing and repairing the cracks in Phase III.
New Business:
- Dave Zeemont received a complaint regarding a motor home being parked in a lot and a barking dog. The motor home is no longer parked in their lot and he will look into the barking dog complaint.
The next meeting of the Board will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at 1236 Regency Court. All are welcome; however, always check with the Secretary to make sure the meeting date has not been changed due to schedule conflicts.
Dave Wright motioned the meeting to adjourn, seconded by Robert Crowley.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
