March 9, 2015 Board Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order at 4 pm.
Present were Dave Zeemont, President; Steve Bailey, Secretary; bob Crowley, Treasurer; Larry Felhauer, Director at Large. Also present was Carrie Gaddy, Landscaping Chair.
Minutes from previous meeting were approved.
Bob Crowley, Treasurer, presented the Treasurer’s Report (see attached.) Nothing out of the ordinary. Only a few dues payments have been received; however, notices have not been sent out yet and will probably be sent within the next day or so. Federal taxes ($4.64) and State Corporation fees ($10.00) have been paid. Bob is still working on trying to collect amounts from three properties either vacant and/or foreclosed.
Carrie Gaddy, Landscaping Chair, reported that most of the islands have received new plants and a few have been rocked so far. Most islands should be finished by the end of March. The drip systems on the islands on Academy and Titania are in the process of being repaired/replaced.
It was noted that some residents have put lights or other such items on a few of the islands. The Board wants all residents to realize that this is contrary to the CC&Rs and these items must be removed immediately. If they are not removed, then the Board will have no other option than to remove them and discard them.
Larry Felhauer had asked for feedback on the mailbox lighting and island reflectors and there was a discussion on these. It was decided that the reflectors put on the island just inside Anthem gate was adequate. It was suggested that reflectors be put on the first island coming in from Barcelona as well. These should bring attention to visitors who may not be familiar with our islands and let them know they exist. Also, it was agreed that the lighting on the mailboxes was good; however, it was suggested that more lights were needed. Larry will fashion a new bar to attach and connect two more lights for better coverage.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:45 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Steve Bailey, CRNA Secretary
