August 19, 2013 Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm. Present were Dave Zeemont, President; Steve Bailey, Secretary; Bob Crowley, Treasurer; and Dave Wright, Director at Large. Also present was Carrie Gaddy, Landscaping Chair and Kelly Dickson.

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

Dave Zeemont announced that Kathy Mayer has agreed to return as Web Site Chair.

Bob Crowley presented the Treasurer's report (see attached.) Nothing out of the ordinary, but Bob did list the names that were in default. It is the same names who are always late; followups will proceed.

Dave Wright, Gates Chair, reported that both gates were in good working order and the SOS system was working properly. Dave noted that the County Deputies had our emergency gate code listed on their computer when an address shows up. Among other things, this allows deputies to enter quietly. Dave will check with the ambulance service to see if they have a similar setup.

Bob Crowley, Erosion Control Chair, and Kelly Dickson reported that with the heavy rains, some erosion has occurred, mainly from vacant lots spilling out water and silt onto the streets. After some discussion, Bob agreed to send out letters to the offending lot owners stating that the lot owners are and will be responsible for damage and/or cleanup of streets. Bob will let lot owners know that a fix is most likely inexpensive and he will gladly help lot owners plan containment without wasting money.

It was also decided that it was time to rock the hillside above West Constitution Road to stem chronic erosion problems. Kelly had done some dirt work a few years back to help the situation, but with the return of heavy rains, applying rock is the only alternative now. Dave Zeemont will contact Picacho Mountain and let them know we need to enter their property and to apply rocks. We have an agreement with PM that they will pay for the rocks in exchange for placing a gas pressure valve on CRNA property; however, with the market remaining slow, PM is not ready to front the money. The Board decided we cannot wait and will just have to wait on the money at a later date for work done now. There is currently enough money in CRNA funds to do the work.

Steve Bailey agreed to send out a letter concerning an illegally parked van, parked on the rocked area of a house. We have been patient in allowing the parking until moving in was completed.

Carrie Gaddy stated that she will present a full written report of the ongoing projects at the gates and some islands. This report will be sent to all as soon as it is received.

The next meeting will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 6:30 pm at 1236 Regency Court. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
