June 14, 2010\ Board of Directors Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 6:41 pm.

Present were Dave Zeemont, President; Steve Bailey, Secretary; Bob Crowley, Treasurer; Larry Felhauer and Barbara Rose Farber, Directors at Large.

Also present were Dave Wright, Gates Chair, Kelly Dickson, Sharon Steinborn and Carolyn Piirto.

Minutes from previous meeting were unanimously approved.

Bob Crowley, Treasurer, gave the Treasurer's Report (attached.) He also stated that 10 residents had failed to pay the annual assessment so far, and that he had sent out letters advising them of the late fee that will be added to the bill. Also, those who have not paid by July 1st will have liens filed against their property. Treasurer's Report was accepted unanimously.

Barbara Rose Farber, Landscaping Chair, mentioned that the house at 8076 Constitution Road had recently had all the weeds removed and is a good example of what residents should be doing to keep their lots looking nice. If you need the name of the landscaper who did the work, contact Barbara Rose at email [This email address is being protected from spambots. Bob Crowley, Erosion Control Chair, stated that he had not heard a word from Picacho Mountain regarding the joint effort to remedy potential flooding/erosion problems along our mutual border. Bob will talk directly to Zia Engineering to discuss a smaller fee for just us, if necessary.

Two neighbors (representing four homes) attended the meeting to discuss the problem of dust/sand erosion from two vacant lots that is impacting their landscaping. A letter from a private landscaper was also provided stating the problem. After a thorough discussion, in which several measures of prevention were discussed, they agreed to take the first step by notifying the lot owners and trying to work out some compromise. They are to report back to the Board with their progress.

During the discussion about sand erosion, Bob Crowley stated that he had seen a special truck with a screen attached to hold down the rocks while a vacuum sucked up the dust. He has been unable to find out who owns it or who does this service (he saw it a couple years ago.) If anyone has any information on this type of vehicle or on the company that owns it, please contact me by hitting reply to sender. I will see to it that Bob gets the message.

Dave Wright, Gates Chair, reported that a private contractor had hit the Anthem Gate kiosk with his truck/trailer and damaged it. A neighbor saw the incident and followed the truck driver to his work site and got all the pertinent information (insurance, etc.) A letter was sent to his insurance company stating amount of damage (slightly more than $1,000) and other pertinent information. Dave reported that none of the gate operations were adversely affected.

Larry Felhauer, Gates Committee, showed the signs he had gotten regarding camera surveillance at each gate. The Board gave its permission to attach the signs in a visible location.

Meeting was adjourned at 8 pm.
